To design, develop and deliver short and medium term business decisions to lead the strategic direction of the Venues as outlined by senior management paying attention to venues identified as requiring support. Providing established and recognised professional expertise to improve business results, customer service standards and cost efficiency.

Working alongside and with current Divisional Managers.

Due to the nature of this position you must be willing to travel and work away from home for periods of time as the role dictates.

Business Direction

  • As senior management to contribute to the effective running of the business
  • Contribute at a management level in business planning and decision making as required


  • Design, develop and deliver short and medium term business decisions to ensure the success of the Venues within the estate
  • Manage and motivate individual Managers to ensure focus remains on the agreed business strategies, specifically budgetary and cost management
  • To instigate and lead estate wide projects to improve efficiencies and improve the operations of the whole business
  • In conjunction with the venue management, ensure that individual Venues have the appropriate resources, including staff and facilities, to meet its business objectives
  • Develop, train and guide individual Managers to ensure all company policies, are always followed

General Management

  • Attend regular meeting with the COO and senior Executive committee
  • Attend regular meetings with the exec Steering Group
  • Represent the Group, as requested at functions and events ensuring that topics and agendas are reported back to relevant group staff

The effectiveness of the Divisional Manager will be measured by

  • The contribution made to the effective operational management of their units; specifically, their success in addressing issues in venues which have or are under performing to budget
  • The contribution at senior management level to the running of the Group
  • Ability demonstrated to work alongside other senior management for the further development of the Group


  • Experience of working in Live Music venues at management level
  • Ability to design and develop sound business strategies and achieve targets
  • Developing people as the business requires
  • Excellent communications skills including problems solving
  • Planning and budget managing
  • Ability to work closely with other departments and senior management
