Based in 12 acres of beautiful countryside, Blundell’s Preparatory School and Nursery provides excellent pastoral care to children aged up to 11 years old. Our children learn in a modern, safe, indoor and outdoor learning environment, which has been completely redeveloped over recent years.
We’re looking for a Teaching Assistant to join our thriving Pre-Prep Department in September 2019, working during term time only.

You’ll support the success of our Pre-Prep Department, which is housed in a new purpose-built building just a stone’s throw away from the Prep School. We have bright and airy classrooms, multiple outside play facilities, our own library and excellent ICT facilities.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will provide a high level of support to our Class Teachers, from Nursery to Year 2.
In this key role, you will support the educational and social development of pupils, helping them to fully participate in activities, both inside and outside of the classroom.
Additionally, you will:
- Help to implement individual educational programmes for pupils
- Support pupils with emotional or behavioural problems
- Assist Class Teachers in maintaining pupil records, EYFS Observations and Learning Journals
- Join pupils on school trips
- Help to maintain the ethos of the school
To join us as a Teaching Assistant, you’ll need:
- An early years qualification e.g. NVQ Level 3
- Strong IT skills
- An enthusiastic and positive approach
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to carry out basic first aid duties

This is a full time role, working 8:00 – 17:00 during term time only.
