Air Personnel are looking for five Avionic Fitter/Wireman on a permanent and a contract basis for an aviation client in Oxford.
Overall purpose of the role
Aircraft Avionic Fitter / Wireman to manufacture looms , install, terminate and test.
Non-certifying role.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Accomplishment of work for the Installation Supervisor or Certifying Engineer.
Work to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
Complete avionic and electrical systems in accordance with design drawings
Conduct off-aircraft technical work in workshops as required.
Also required to assist in day to day running of the aircraft Hangar, including aircraft movement and general house keeping responsibilities.
Experience
ESSENTIAL
•Be able to read a wiring diagram
•Need to have recent experience of making looms
•Crimping
•Soldering
•Continuity testing
•Loom identification
•Terminate a loom
DESIRABLE
Experience of Helicopters products.
Knowledge and Skills
ESSENTIAL
Must have thorough knowledge of electrical and avionic systems.
Previous experience of loom building
DESIRABLE
Knowledge of specialised test equipment relating to electrical and avionic systems.
Experience of helicopter systems
Education
ESSENTIAL
•Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or related discipline.
DESIRABLE
•Experience on Helicopters.
Required to work shifts as part of normal working routine.
Contract role is up until the end of March and comes with a bonus payments Excellent rates for both the permanent roles and contract vacancies.
We are looking for three permanent Wireman and two contractors.
