The Company are seeking to appoint an experienced Remediation Team Supervisors to join their team, reporting to the Contracts Manager.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager and employed on a full-time basis with the expectation of satisfying overtime requirements, the primary purpose of the role is to supervisor all elements of a remediation incident. This will include supervisory responsibility for deployed personnel, plant, vehicles, ensuring associated documentation is correct and understood by all attending the incident and the postholder is responsible for the safe progression of works and upholding and adhering to compliant health & safety procedures.

In addition to overtime requirements, the postholder can be expected to respond to emergency call outs and as deployment may be anywhere in the region, deployment may include occasional overnight stays away from home.

Remediation Team Supervisor Responsibilities:

* Ensuring all staff within area of responsibility act at all times with integrity, due skill, care and diligence and observing proper standards of conduct.
* Responsibility for supporting operational response and commercial activities of the business.
* Carrying out such works under the direction of the OHES Contracts Manager and OHES consultancy staff or, where required, using own initiative, skills, knowledge and appropriate techniques;
* Operating any plant/machinery for which the postholder is qualified and experienced to undertake and undertaking hand dig excavation works to facilitate removal of contamination.
* Ensuring all equipment is maintained, available and serviceable;
* Responsibly and efficiently procuring materials ensuring cost effectiveness;
* Ensuring all vehicle checks are undertaken prior to commencing any works and ensuring the security of all Company vehicles and equipment.
* Taking photographs throughout works.
* Recording all time, mileage and materials used during all phases of a project so that charging can be done accurately.
* Undertake all duties in accordance with health and safety to include provided RAMS documentation. The post holder holds full responsibility for reading and signing such documentation.
* Directing, mentoring and developing less experienced staff within the team.
* Any other duties for which the postholder is qualified and experienced to undertake.

Remediation Team Supervisor Requirements:

* Minimum of 7 years' experience in site works, either construction, civils or landscaping, specific experience in related trades and demonstrate an enthusiastic, friendly manner and positive outlook.
* Capable of high standards of delivery and presentation, be qualified and experienced to use plant and machinery and possess the ability to manage time to high productivity levels.
