Interim HR Advisor - Logistics (Food)

Location: Kent

Salary: GBP30-35,000 + benefits

Contract Duration: 3-6 months

We're currently recruiting a high performing HR Officer for a 3-6 month contract with the possibility of a permanent contract to join our Client's HR team at their impressive 1,200 employee strong logistics site in Kent. You'll proactively support with all ER and IR issues, offering guidance and coaching to the site leadership teams. Using your extensive knowledge and your experience in a similar role, you'll think creatively in driving the site agenda and performance improvement projects.

To be considered for role of HR Advisor you'll demonstrate a flexible approach to your work and responsibilities with the ability to support both the day and night staff where necessary.

The Role:

  • Support, coach and challenge line management with absence, disciplinary and grievance issues
  • Identify development opportunities to improve soft skills and build future talent
  • Lead engaging, proactive communications across the site
  • Build positive and effective relationships with unions and agency suppliers
  • Reinforce the visions and values in all aspects of work and act as a barometer to colleague morale
  • Support and drive colleague engagement on site
  • Lead a projects on the HR plan
  • Design and Implement effective recruitment solutions
  • Proactively Manage Employee Relations
  • Drive the people engagement agenda on site

The person:

  • Degree educated or equivalent plus CIPD qualified (or working towards) or equivalent and up to date knowledge of employment legislation
  • Must have the ability to work in a fast moving HR environment, with logistics or manufacturing experience
  • Experience of operating within a unionised organisation
  • Experience of advising, supporting and coaching managers
  • Proactive approach to continuous business improvements
  • Experience of implementing processes and driving fulfilment
  • Good commercial awareness
  • Ability to act on own initiative
  • Experience of problem solving tools
  • Project Management Skills would be advantageous
