New job in for a Production Shift Manager for a textile manufacturer in Stockport.

* Based in Stockport, Manchester.
The Job
* Reporting into the Production Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of operators on a rotating shift pattern.
* Utilising labour and material resources to ensure the efficient running of the shift.
* Ensure all machinery is running correctly.
* First line responsibility for health and safety within the factory area.
* You will managing workload for the team to ensure that product completion meets business deadline.
The Person
* You will have a proven track record of managing a production team of up to 20 operators in a batch manufacturing operation.
* You will have excellent planning and organizational skills across multiple machines and varying processes.
* A good understanding of manufacturing systems and procedures from both operational and health and safety overview.
* Textile processing knowledge/experience would be highly advantageous, especially finishing, dyeing, coating or screen printing.
* Continuous process improvement would be beneficial.
* Happy to work on a 6 - 2 / 2 - 10 rotating shift pattern.
