Accounts Manager - Maternity cover
Location: Shirley, Solihull
Hours 8.30 - 5.00 Mon - Thurs 4.30pm finish on Friday
Salary GBP20,000 - GBP24,000
We are seeking an experienced Accounts person who has excellent communication skills to join a thriving, family run company, supplying the engineering industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone who looking to develop their career and gain more experience.
Your daily duties will include:
•Having a proactive approach to accounts and credit control
•All aspects of Purchase Ledger and Sales Ledger
•Daily and monthly Bank Reconciliation
•Requesting and processing purchase orders, invoices, statements and outstanding paperwork onto the Purchase and Sales ledger on weekly basis
•Dealing with accounts enquiries via telephone and email, as required
•VAT returns, expenses
•Month end reporting
•Co-ordinating with couriers
Personal requirements
•Prior experience of working within an accounts position
•Experienced with using SAGE 50
•Good IT skills, including Excel
•Sound knowledge of sales/purchase ledger
•Excellent communication skills and strong organisational skills
•High level of numerical and analytical skills
•Confident with a strong work ethic and have the ability to take initiative when it comes to your workload and prioritising tasks
