About the role:

We are looking to appoint a Head of Risk & Assurance, to provide strategic leadership, direction, management and oversight on all aspects of risk and assurance to help HM Land Registry (HMLR) meet it's objectives as it undergoes significant transformation in the delivery of its services.

You will promote a positive risk culture across the whole organisation, shaping the structure and organising the activities of the Risk and Assurance function.

To be successful in this position you will be able to demonstrate a background in Risk Management preferably in the banking, financial or service sectors, at a strategic level and have experience of managing operational risk and compliance, with a track record of working with third parties, to achieve strategic objectives.

About you:

- Degree level and / or professional qualification (or equivalent) in science / mathematics, economics, business administration, law or a related field.
- Experience of managing operational risk and compliance, ideally including cyber and legal risk, and quality assurance
- You will have knowledge and experience of using the Three Lines / Tiers of Defence model to manage risk and have managed and lead a team who deliver risk and assurance across multiple locations.
