The Role
Our client is growing rapidly and in conjunction with new and exciting work streams and projects, as part of their expansion plans we are looking for a Quality Manager to join and lead their quality team in the ever-changing world of Cable Management Solutions. In this role you will manage and co-ordinate all quality activities to ensure that our products and services meet the needs of our internal and external customers, that they are fit for purpose, and comply with our industry and relevant international standards.
 
Reporting to the Site Director, the Quality Manager will play a key role in ensuring that the site meets our customer's requirements and the requirements of AS9100 and other applicable Quality Standards.
 
The role will cover audits, maintenance & development of the quality system & procedures, external approvals, analysis and monitoring the quality process from start to finish. You will be responsible for managing the corrective action process and will be tasked with eliminating errors for the future, with the customer at the heart of everything you do.
 
Their focus is very much on Continuous Improvement so the Quality Manager will be very involved with product and process improvements, in conjunction with the CI team, to enhance reliability and performance.
 
Although ideally they are looking for an experienced Quality Manager, they would also welcome applications from experienced Quality Engineers with the relevant Qualifications, Skills and drive who may want to take the next step in their careers and want to make this role a success.  You should have the Quality qualifications and experience we need, as training can be provided for the leadership and people skills required in this role. This maybe the ideal opportunity for the right person to grow their experience and their role in what is an interesting and complex area.
 
Accountabilities

  • Ensure necessary practices and processes are adhered to comply with HT quality systems and policies
  • Maintenance and improvement of the Business management systems and approvals and the communication of changes
  • Manage the internal audit system, conducting audits as necessary
  • Identify potential improvements to enhance quality and consistency of service and products
  • Support consistent and fair implementation of personnel policies and procedures and report back accordingly and manage disciplinary issues in accordance with company policy
  • Ensure employees within area of responsibility are adequately trained and developed

 
Skills

  • You will have a good working knowledge of ISO9001
  • You will ideally be a Qualified lead auditor for purposes of achieving and maintaining quality and environmental certification
  • You will ideally hold a relevant qualification in Quality Management
  • You will have experience in managing the performance of others, agreeing clear performance objectives, providing feedback, coaching and deals with poor performance fairly using relevant organisational processes
  • You will have personal effectiveness in identifying problems, seeking relevant data, recognising important information, diagnosing possible causes and taking appropriate actions to rectify problem
  • You will be able to recognise company or personal sensitive information and therefore maintain appropriate confidentiality and display professional integrity
