Role: Machine Minder
Salary: GBP8.50 / hour (increasing to GBP9.00 after 3 months training)
Location: South Yorkshire
Hours of Work: Days
Are you a mechanically minded person with an interest in machinery and would like to learn more?
Do you have previous experience of working within an FMCG Manufacturing facility?
Are you able to work to high standards within a fast-moving, production environment?
Would you like to work for a technologically advanced food manufacturing business with a GBP100m annual turnover?
Following an unprecedented period of growth, this industry-leading Food Manufacturing company are currently seeking to recruit Machine Minders to join and provide support to their Engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:-
* Conduct machinery/equipment set-ups and changeovers at start of shift and during production runs to ensure downtime is kept to a minimum (training will be provided)
* Report faults, abnormal noise or erratic movement to anticipate (and prevent) potential breakdowns
* Assist Maintenance Engineers with breakdowns and tool changes
* Take ownership of machinery and become the expert for your Production Area
* Provide holiday/absence cover for Machine Minders in other departments
* Weekend work may be required to assist with machinery servicing
Key Qualifications / Competencies / Experience:-
* Mechanically minded with a genuine interest in Engineering
* Qualified (or part qualified) within an Engineering discipline (advantageous but not essential)
* Good level of written & spoken English but does not need to be your first language
