A Univerisity I am working with are undertaking a major strategic project to replace their current student information system with a new commercial product.
As part of the software and technical development work, they are in need for a technical delivery consultant/coach to work with the programmes technical team to guide the implementation of the necessary tools and processes. This will include:
* Requirements definition and management
* Technology standards and architecture definition and management
* Project/Work package planning
* Development methodology - product delivery, tracking and governance
* Product quality assurance and testing
* Configuration and release management
* Software vendor interaction/relationship management
The responsibilities to be considered include:
* Establishing working practices for a technical team developing software for data migrations, system reports, and complex system integrations
* Technical implementation of large corporate applications and transitioning systems into operations;
* Project delivery methodologies using appropriate aspects of Agile and Waterfall
* Hybrid cloud and on-premises architectures for system and data management
The experience you will need include:
* Delivery Manager for software development programme
* Technical Lead for digital transformation programme
* Agile Development Coach/Project Manager
* Data Integration/Migration Programme Manager
* Software DevOps Manager
Experience in the Higher Education sector is desirable not essential, but proof of delivery within other sectors will be considered strongly.
