Becoming a Communications Manager with Capita Primary Care Support England (PCSE):
1 year fixed-term contract
Salary GBP40-45K
Capita is looking for a communications manager to take charge of developing and delivering effective customer and broader stakeholder communication campaigns, as part of a major transformation programme in primary care support services.
First-class communications are essential in supporting this ambitious transformation programme. You will be expected to lead on the delivery of communication campaigns to support the launch of a number of new services, as well as providing frequent updates on existing services.
In doing so, you will need to create and use a range of effective communications channels, and identify ways of informing and engaging service users with the changes.
What you will do:
  • Develop and implement communication campaigns to engage and inform our service users and the broader stakeholder community around specific new services and changes to current services
  • Use the most appropriate channels to effectively communicate with all key stakeholder groups
  • Create compelling content to engage service users and broader stakeholder groups with the changes and manage reputation
  • Work closely with the rest of the communications team, to ensure all activities and messages are aligned with the overall programme's communications strategy and messaging
  • Regularly review activities and ensure that they are meeting their objectives
  • Liaise with Capita's press office to promote successes and manage issues
  • Work with the people team to ensure our employees are kept up to date on developments.
Your experience will include:
  • Establishing and delivering sizeable / high- profile / complex communications campaigns for stakeholders and service users
  • Project management skills, focused on delivery to deadlines
  • Reputation management
  • Ability to build positive relationships with senior executives
  • Ability and experience of engaging with a number of different stakeholder groups, with differing communications needs.
  • Managing messages in periods of change.
  • Designing, writing and issuing communications materials
  • Maintaining websites
  • Understanding of current communications and engagement tools and techniques
  • A background in health sector would be an advantage but is not essential
