Transport Senior Procurement Manager

Role Profile:

Reporting to the Head of Procurement for telent Technology Services Limited, this is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, professional, commercially focused and pragmatic CIPS qualified individual who can develop and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, whilst retaining the ability to question, challenge and influence others.
The ideal candidate will require a breadth of experience and knowledge in procurement, commercial, programme management and team leadership that can be drawn on to understand and implement business requirements, develop procurement strategies to maximise value for money and achieve legislative and business compliance.

* Contributes to the development of functional strategy
* Solves unique and complex problems that have a broad impact on the business
* Working within bidding and project teams responsible for owning and driving the procurement process and overall procurement project plan within the timescales
* Develop innovative commercial solutions arising from challenging situations.
* The development of a detailed category methodology, plans and strategies that deliver specific and significant short, medium and long term benefits to the business
* Production of Framework contractual agreements with preferred suppliers that fulfils all business requirements
* Classifying suppliers on a commercial and risk basis and recommending and implementing an appropriate Supplier Management approach based on the given classification.
* The support of the telent's Transport business strategies, tenders & projects and the management of third party RFI/RFQ processes and activities in support of these.
* The development of a stakeholder management and engagement plan that will allow you to demonstrate your tailored management approach to all key stakeholders

* Fully MCIPS Qualified
* Degree/HND/HNC or equivalent in an appropriate discipline
* Depth and breadth of experience may be taken into account where these qualifications have not been obtained
