At CEDA we believe that all disabled people should be in control of their own lives and should have the opportunity to live the life they have chosen for themselves. Working in small groups and on a one to one basis, we will rely on you to help make sure that the people we support have the same rights, opportunities and quality of life as everyone else. If you have the drive, determination and commitment to make this happen, this could be the job for you.
This is a demanding, and at times, challenging job and we need people who are up to the challenge. Making such a positive difference to people’s lives and watching them develop is very rewarding.
Various shifts will be required, including some evenings and weekends. You will need to be flexible in a fast moving environment, no two days will be the same.
If you have a level 2 qualification in Care, or something similar, great, if not, you will be given appropriate training. Most importantly, we need you to want to work with people who need a little support in order to lead fulfilling lives and we want you to demonstrate this in your application.
CEDA is a long established and well respected local charity based in Exeter and it is a really great time to be joining our team. Demand for support continues to grow and we need a reliable, energetic and values driven enabling team who really care about the work they do. You could make a real difference.
We welcome applications from, and actively seek to recruit disabled people and are a disability confident employer. All applicants are subject to satisfactory references and an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
