Essar Oil UK is a leading UK-focused downstream energy company whose main asset is the Stanlow Manufacturing Complex, one of the most advanced refineries in Europe and situated close to the major cities of Liverpool and Manchester. Stanlow is a key strategic national asset, annually producing over 16% of the UK’s road transport fuels, while playing an important part in Britain’s petrochemical industry by providing key feedstocks.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Asset Scheduler to join our 100% owned subsidiary company Stanlow Oil Terminal Limited (SOTL) based in Stanlow. Within this role, you will be responsible for the scheduling function within SOTL, allocating and optimising assets and controlling the movement of substances and products via the organisation’s infrastructure facilities. You will develop a scheduling plan to deliver the most efficient terminal operation and one that meets all customer expectations.
The successful candidate will also have responsibility for tracking asset availability, planning asset outages, benchmarking asset utilisation and maintaining performance data on demurrage, in order to support customer demands and to maximise revenue. The successful candidate will also possess strong oral and written communication skills, be able to build relationships with all stakeholders and be able to present information in an easy and informative way in order to maintain the smooth operation of the Terminal.
Other responsibilities include reviewing, designing and planning work orders/schedules in line with business requirements, taking responsibility for defining and implementing schedules along with processes and procedures for scheduling conflicts and/or changes and acting as the point of contact for both internal and external clients in relation to asset movement and/or allocation within the Terminal.
Working in coordination with the management team, you will maintain a consistent approach to scheduling in order to maintain accuracy and reliability in the execution and reporting asset movement/allocation and will resolve any scheduling conflicts and/or changes as required.
You will define and implement schedules, along with processes and procedures for scheduling conflicts and/or changes and communicating with the Operations Team when changing plans at short notice.
This role will require the successful candidate to commit to an on-call rota for out of hours support.
