Ready to join a UK success story that has helped tens of thousands of companies successfully embark on their online retail journey?

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and successful technical Digital Project Manager to be responsible for the delivery - on time and within budget – of the full cycle of our eCommerce projects.

We are an eCommerce solutions business with a fascinating history and exciting future. We deliver increasingly more sophisticated ecommerce solutions to a wide range of businesses, with a well-established base of over 800 customers, transacting in excess of £300 million per year.

You will be joining a team of experienced technicians and working very closely with frontend and backend developers, designers and partners, passionate about ecommerce and providing an excellent service.

As part of a tight team, with a head office newly relocated to Exeter, you will need to be flexible and proactive and to take ownership and personal responsibility for success. Success in the role will be rewarded with expanded responsibility and influence.

The Digital Project Manager Role:

As Digital Project Manager you will be responsible for the successful delivery of technical projects that achieve time, cost / profitability and quality targets.

Responsibilities include:

+ Managing the process of delivering projects from specification to launch, through robust project and programme planning including: customer specification, delegating work packages and tasks to different departments, phase review and acceptance testing, drafting documentation, monitoring progress, identifying and managing risks, maintaining and updating a project management platform
+ Liaising with existing resource within the business, including the product manager, overseas developers and designers to optimise project scheduling and ensure delivery is on time and within budget
+ Improving project life cycle processes with the goal of delivering excellence, effectively and efficiently and improving internal communication
+ Supporting the sales department with pre-sales including specification writing, scoping calls and accurate proposal writing through a genuine understanding of the technical requirement and therefore timescales / costs for delivery of projects
+ Supporting the account managers with customer communication throughout the project including progress updates, presentation of designs and site demos

Experience:

To be successful you will have genuine passion for the digital industry and a successful track record of ‘hands on’ technical project management, ideally in an agency environment. Good business sense, a problem-solving mindset and tenacity and determination to see projects through to delivery are essential. You will be process driven and well organised with strong IT skills and an ability to manage multiple concurrent projects ranging from delivery of full websites to software upgrades and customisation to design and functionality.

Understanding of Google Analytics, search engine rankings and optimisation is essential as is knowledge of best practice in web site design and usability particularly in relation to ecommerce and basic awareness of core website technologies i.e. HTML, PHP, CSS and Javascript.

You will have great communication and collaborative skills and be a natural relationship builder, confident liaising with both clients and internal and external providers. Self-motivated and a quick learner you will be passionate about both your own and the Company’s success. It is essential that you are comfortable working in a small business and fast paced environment.
