Merton and Carshalton Colleges are looking for an energetic and pro-active work experience practitioner with management experience, to take up the new post of Head of Employability.  The two Colleges have around 2000 students on 16-19 study programmes, the majority of whom undertake a genuine work placement.  Both colleges have strong vocational offers across a good range of subjects and have excellent working relationships with many employers. We were involved in a highly successful pilot of 45-day T Level placements in 2017/18 and have placed even more students on extended placements this year.  The successful applicant will be tasked with further developing work experience and work related learning across 16-19 study programmes, including leading on our well established Employability week.  The post holder will have strong existing employer contacts and be expected to continually develop new relationships.  This is a great opportunity to work with two dynamic and well respected colleges in South-West London, and be part of a wider community of practice across the South Thames Colleges Group.

Closing date for the return of completed applications is Sunday 30th June 2019
