Fantastic opportunities are available for customer focused enthusiastic, resilient and confident SIA Licensed Security Officers to join our MITIE Total Security Limited team.
You will be responsible for various security requirements of the site, and maintaining a good corporate image and high standards of professionalism. Duties and responsibilities include (but are not limited to) protecting and having a good knowledge of the site and its customers. You will undertake access control duties, conduct regular patrols of the shopping centre, write up incident reports and log entries, monitoring of CCTV. You will also need to know when and how to diffuse potentially difficult situations and be able to react appropriately in an emergency
Due to the public facing nature of this role, the following qualities are desirable:
- Smart, customer focused and well-groomed
- Approachable and fair person, and confident to act in difficult situations
- Must have good communications skills and command of the English Language (additional language skills are advantageous)
- Right to work in the UK essential
- Current Security or Door Supervisor is essential
- Able to be vetted for previous period of 5 years or since leaving compulsory education
