Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager - To take the lead in development and management of the department ensuring the provision of quality Procurement and Stock Control.
* Responsible for the management and co-ordination of all strategic sourcing activities maximising the value within the Procurement function
* Drive overall purchasing performance and lead transformation change efforts while maximising efficiencies
* Co-operation with key stakeholders and internal departments
* Manage and develop a sustainable supplier base and prepare annual and long-term sourcing plans
* Provide annual budgetary estimates whilst identifying highly resourceful partners
* Provide management and leadership to staff within the department
* Responsible for Supplier approval and ensure supplier performance and KPIs are adhered to
* Continually seek to improve current systems
* Manage the stock holding
* Work with finance to ensure that month end stock count and valuations are completed accurately
* Source out new suppliers to meet the needs of the company in its drive for innovation in packaging.
* Attend senior management meetings to stay up to date on the company objectives
Purchasing and Supply Chain Manager Requirements
* Excellent financial management skills
* Strong people management skills and commercial awareness
* Strong Analytical ability and a flair for negotiating
* Experience of stock control and buying in a manufacturing environment will be highly regarded
* 3+ years purchasing management experience
