Assistant Quantity Surveyor

GVR Solutions are working with a new client who are a Multi Service Contractor. They are looking for a dedicated and driven Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team. They provide a broad range of immediate services, their capability, delivery and flexibility make them the choice for the UK largest manufactures to go to. They have built-up an impressive and reliable name for themselves.

They provide bespoke integrated service packages built to deliver; these packages are made up of various works including facilities Management. The facilities management work covers Design & Build (Facility buildings, offices, extensions, workshops, Major refurbishments), Building maintenance, repairs, fabrics, M & E, Roofing, Air Conditioning, Civils/groundwork and handyman services.

The Client is looking for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor who is studying or has finished studying and has previous construction experience. You will be both Site and Office based and be able to travel to locations. This is a great opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join a business which offers progression and development to the right person.

As the Quantity Surveyor you will:

* Assist with Tendering

* Assist with Cost Control

* Assist with Cost reporting

* Carry out measurement for valuations

* Identify Opportunities and risks

* Attend post tender and pre-contract meetings

* Liaise with all Internal teams

* Attend projects meetings

* payments to sub-contractors are made on time and in accordance with the subcontract agreement

* Assist with CDR's

* Liaise with Clients and Management team

* Assist with reporting

As the Quantity Surveyor you must have:

* Studying a Quantity Surveying course

* Previous experience working in construction

* Excellent analytical skills to make informed, balanced business decision and reporting

* Well organised, with good time management skills.

* Excellent communication and Oral skills.

* Driven and focused

* Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills

* Confident, Articulate and a critical thinker

* Ability to work to deadlines

* Willing to undertake training and development when needed.
