Job description

SAS Software Limited (SAS) is seeking a highly motivated Pre-Sales Director to drive the Fraud Solution business across North EMEA. The postholder will develop the North EMEA Pre-Sales Fraud strategy for the region and ensure alignment with other North EMEA Solution Directors and the global team. The successful candidate will coordinate Pre-Sales Fraud activities across the region.

Job responsibilities:

  • hires, develops and retains pre-sales professionals with the necessary skills to drive our business forward;
  • directly manages day to day activities of pre-sales staff and sales support activities;
  • determines utilization of staff and resources to achieve sales goals;
  • responsible for consistent team-wide delivery of SAS technology and solution- messages to customers in sales engagements;
  • provides overall leadership on initiatives and projects; coordinates with other business units & geographies to share best practices and approaches;
  • makes decisions for team in support of regional goals and objectives; referring to upper management on major issues;
  • supports and reinforces best practices, with heavy emphasis on sales methodologies and consistency across the team;
  • advises North EMEA Management Team on go to market plan to ensure maximum customer retention and maximize execution against software targets;
  • creates and executes the North EMEA Fraud Solution strategy;
  • contributes to the development and delivery of annual strategic business plan;
  • oversees and aligns the scheduling process for staff and activities on North EMEA level;
  • defines activities with the Pre-Sales Director and coordinates them; and
  • works with other solution business managers to insure Pre-Sales operations are functioning properly in all regions to serve customers and employees efficiently.

Key skills, experience and qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business, Computer Science, or quantitative field. Knowledge of advanced selling methodologies and practices. Knowledge of company’s Marketing concepts. Related Master’s Degree preferred;
  • requires extensive experience in a technical pre-sales support and/or leading technical customer relationship activities. Also requires significant experience with at least two deployment architectures supported by SAS and experience selling, supporting, or using applications with SAS in a formal management role;
  • strong Fraud Solution & Fraud domain knowledge;
  • people management and leadership skills;
  • excellent commercial/business acumen;
  • ability to turn ideas into actionable and results driven programs;
  • sales acumen by understanding “sales mentality”, ability to empathise with sales;
  • ability to negotiate and influence others;
  • experience working with sales development and sales to deliver results;
  • strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills;
  • public speaking experience;
  • ability to lead cross functional teams; and
  • ability to travel internationally.
