Development Management Technician (P430)
Grade C (SCP 8-12) £19,945 - £21,589 per annum
37 hours per week, permanent post
We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Development Management Technician to provide technical and administrative support to the functioning of the Development Management Group. The role involves the validation of planning and building control applications, the processing of land searches and determination of formal decisions on Building Notice regulation applications.
You will have significant administration experience in a busy office environment, ideally but not necessarily include working in a Planning service and have experience of working with IT systems including word processing, databases and spreadsheets in a regulatory environment. A good standard of spoken and written English and Numeracy are essential, along with good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. You will also need to be able to work accurately and methodically under pressure in a target orientated environment.
Experience of working in a planning department is not essential but would be an advantage. The right candidate will be given full training and support.
A commitment to providing excellent customer service and continuous customer service improvement is essential.
