About the Role
As the International Business Development Manager, you’ll be representing NFER to partners and clients. Responsible for winning new work through leading a range of business development activities, including relationship management and intelligence gathering, you’ll work closely with the research, marketing and bids teams to pioneer new international growth.
Specifically, you will:
- Collaborate internally to strategise NFER’s business development activities and priorities, taking them from early stage discussions and nurturing them through to contract closure
- Externally develop and maintain relationships and carry out intelligence gathering with NGOs, donors, governments and other education and development organisations.
- Undertake pro-active business development and pipeline management
- Contribute to bid management and solution liaison to ensure NFER’s bids are attractive to clients
Your technical background:
- A degree or equivalent, in a relevant discipline or with direct experience of working in international development
- Experience of successful global horizon scanning and identifying new business opportunities in a systematic way
- Experience of identifying suitable opportunities and successfully managing a pipeline
- Proven and successful background in winning new contracts
- Experience of building up and sustaining a network of key relationships and contacts in order to deliver business outcomes
