The role

We now have an opportunity for a Housing and Neighbourhoods Officer to join emh homes to deliver a service that focuses on regular contact and timely intervention on issues such as tenancy sustainment.

You will ensure that best practise and is implemented and will be responsible for the effective management of service charge queries whilst developing and maintaining strong relationships both internally and externally so there is synergy in focus and outcomes. Providing tenancy support you will enforce tenancy conditions in line with agreements and standards and manage the low-level nuisance and ASB cases, referring more serious cases as required.

The ideal candidate

The successful candidate will have experience of working with area tenant committees and will have previously managed a patch base of schemes and properties. You will have detailed knowledge and understanding of housing law, housing management and ASB practise management along with having an awareness of the external environment affecting registered providers. We are looking for a calm and conscientious Housing and Neighbourhoods Officer with good ICT skills and a strong team player. Self-aware, you will be committed to ensuring your own behaviour and attitude impacts positively on others.
