1:1 Teaching Assistants

Required for September 2019

25 hours per week, 38 weeks per year (term time only)

The Academy Board of Boston Grammar School invites applications from well qualified individuals to take up post in September 2019. We are seeking to appoint two dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants. These positions are to support children who have Educational Health Care Plans. Recent experience of working with children with additional needs is desirable. The candidate will be qualified to a minimum NVQ level 2 in a relevant area and be educated to a good standard in English and Maths (at least a grade C or equivalent in English and Maths).

We are looking for an excellent practitioner who:

  • Understands how to support a child with additional needs in a caring and sensitive way
  • Will work independently and pro-actively to support a child and the wider class within a busy school
  • Has the drive and determination to help a child to achieve their potential
