This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to join our passionate and knowledgeable Board Plant as the Production Operative. This exciting role will see you safely contribute to the desired level of plant output to ensure that the product is delivered to the next process step in a condition that is ready for delivery to the customer, utilising the agreed safe operating procedures and quality standard methods.
What will you be doing in the role?
In the role as Production Operative you will;
- Safety & Environment: Be clear on standards and procedures relating to safe working, including PPE requirements. Have an absolute commitment to your own and others safety. You will adopt 'behavioural safety' as a core value and be aware of environmental routines and measures relative to your area.
- Customer & Quality: Work to agreed standard operating procedures. Understand the importance of consistent quality and work to achieve this while on shift. Have a good understanding of product quality, standards and customer requirements. Ensure all required data and documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Continuous Improvement: Have effective communication to the Line Manager and colleagues on all aspects of the operation. Carry out identified continuous improvement activities. Understand continuous improvement methodology and techniques and use these to identify losses and improvement opportunities. Be planned, organised and focused in order to meet production performance requirements. Be willing to go the extra mile to ensure that the warehouse and production operates as effectively and efficiently as possible. Work with colleagues to eliminate errors at root cause
