OUR CLIENT

Is a major shipping line with interests in the UK, and through 18 overseas offices around the world. Offering shipping and logistics solutions, by land, sea and air, they currently have in excess of 900 employees and we are excited to be working with them to add an Export Coordinator to their fantastic team!

Working Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm in their Immingham office - the ideal candidate will relish the challenge & variety of the following -

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

• Preparation, submission and coordination of export documentation
• Processing of bookings
• Liaising daily with transport departments both internal & external
• Preparing and handling cargo related documentation including packing lists, manifests, bills of lading
• Liaising with customers, addressing and resolving issues as they occur
• Ensuring accurate numerical processes are carried out- confirming quantities & sizes
• Application of tariffs - ability to read & understand tariffs

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least GCSE ('O' level) standard including minimum grade C in Mathematics and English Language

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Strong and concise communication skills, both written and verbal including professional telephone manner
• Strong grammatical and numerical skills
• Accuracy and attention to detail is essential
• Fully competent with IT including Microsoft Office applications (Word / Excel / Power point / Outlook)
• Knowledge of ETSF program
• Ability to accurately & efficiently transpose information into internal Transport Management system

EXPERIENCE

• A minimum of 2 years previous experience in an export / customs role - can hit the ground running
• ETSF program
• Previous experience of shipping, transport & logistics environment
• A good geographical knowledge of Europe would be a distinct advantage
