Our client, a growing business based in North Leicester, is currently looking to recruit an experienced Cost Accountant / Analyst with a manufacturing background on a permanent basis.

Working within a busy environment, the successful candidate will be working closely with the directors, management accountant and other stakeholders within the business.

Main responsibilities include:

- Daily/weekly analysis of production data and forecasting with commentary to the board
- Create, review and implement standard reporting to ensure efficiency within the business
- Supporting with stock management system
- Ensuring procedural compliance
- Setting up, updating and maintaining management information packs
- Assisting in Key Internal and External Audits

Other bookkeeping and accounting responsibilities:

- Processing and entering invoices on sage
- Processing payments to suppliers in relevant currency
- Debtors and creditors reconciliation
- Accruals and prepayments reconciliation
- Bank reconciliation
- Factoring account reconciliation
- VAT returns and online submission
- Reporting of Imports and Exports, EC Sales & Intrastats
- Bookkeeping to trial balance
- Monthly preparation and reconciliation of sage to submit to management accountant
- Take responsibility for on-going professional self-development
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct as necessary

The ideal candidate will be passionate about improving processes and be someone who really wants to make a difference in a growing business. Ideally you will have experience of working within a manufacturing business

Key skills required:

- Experience in use of Advanced Excel and Sage Line 50 is essential
- Highly confident and organised with strong communication skills
- Attention to detail & accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- An inquisitive nature with good team work ethic seeking to continually support colleagues
- A willingness to undertake training with the ability to implement learning and new skills into daily work
- Part-qualified, with costing experience, in ACCA or CIMA or minimum AAT level 3 qualified or equivalent experience considered

Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

- Statutory accounts experience
- Statutory regulations relating to finance, VAT, wages and salaries

Hours: 9am - 5pm (30 mins lunch) Monday to Friday
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 dependent upon experience
