Kelly Services are recruiting for a Temporary Commercial Advisor support on behalf their global renewable energy client. This is an exciting opportunity for a target driven individual to join this newly established and fast-growing business team. You will be responsible for evaluating business opportunities, developing charging statements, monitoring the ongoing performance of projects, supporting regulatory compliance and maintaining accurate commercial documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop, maintain and operate a commercial assessment and economic model to value potential business opportunities
- Provide commercial input to the business development process, from project evaluation through to contractual agreement
- Develop Charging Methodologies and Charging Statements
- Support regulatory compliance obligations and ensure currency of regulatory documentation
- Ensure that adopted networks are accurately recorded in the operational systems
- Oversee and ensure accuracy of billing and invoices
- Monitor and assess the ongoing performance of projects
- Liaise with Public & Regulatory Affairs to monitor and identify industry developments that may significantly impact the business
- Represent and promote Vattenfall Networks at conference, committees and working groups
- Establish, develop and maintain an on-line knowledge base covering the industry network codes, industry development and competitors
- Maintain accurate commercial documentation, both internally and externally

The initial start-up phase will be fast paced and include a high level of ambiguity. Candidates should have an enquiring mind, have an entrepreneurial flair and be willing to jump into unexpected tasks and activities when they arise.

Essential skills

- Experience in assessing projects and developing business cases
- Strong Excel modelling skills
- Excellent planning, prioritisation, organisation and time management skills
- Demonstrable commercial and regulatory experience in the energy or utility industries
- Experience in assessing projects and developing business cases
- Strong commercial awareness
- Excellent communication and Customer relation skills
- Strong team player able to work across the relevant business areas: - central support functions, business solution managers, marketing and operational staff to deliver complete solutions, products and services.
- Strong Excel modelling skills
- Excellent planning, prioritisation, organisation and time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a relevant subject (commercial management, finance, economics, law, procurement, business or similar)

Desirable

- Project management qualification (Prince 2 or similar)
- Suitable commercial qualification (QS or other relevant area)
- UK IDNO / DNO regulatory experience (Ofgem)
- Solid understanding of IDNO and private networks
- Strong negotiation skills
- Self-directed in personal development
- A practical understanding of the new and emerging energy technology market and the relevant market players.
