Outreach Coordinator

£32,398 - £35,642 pa

Permanent / 37.5 hours per week

At St Mungo’s our vision is that everyone has a place to call home and can fulfil their hopes and ambitions. Our belief is that rough sleeping is an intrinsically harmful and dangerous activity both for the individual and for the wider community.  Therefore we take a proactive and assertive approach to supporting people away from this activity. Our aim is to support people to recover from the effects of rough sleeping and move away from a street lifestyle permanently.

There is an exciting opportunity in the Islington Outreach team for a full time Outreach Coordinator. The post holder will oversee a team of outreach workers, student placements and the First Response Volunteers in Islington.

The successful post holder will oversee the day to day delivery and progress of the Outreach team, building and maintaining productive relationships with stakeholders including the Local Authority, other homeless services and housing providers across. They will be confident in formulating reports, extracting data to demonstrate the rough sleeping themes within the borough.

We are looking for a passionate, committed and insightful person, with significant experience of outreach, housing or work with homeless people and a dynamic, solution-focused approach to helping vulnerable people make positive changes in their lives.

In return, we offer a range of benefits including a pension scheme, staff discounts scheme and initiatives to help you maintain a healthy work/life balance. We are also committed to providing our staff with a wide range of learning and development opportunities; in support of their personal and professional development.

If you believe that you have what we are looking for, and have an interest in working for a charity which makes a real difference to the lives of people who are homeless, we encourage you to apply.

Please ensure that you read the comprehensive job description and person specification for the role. When applying please address the person specification, clearly setting out how you meet the requirements for the role.
