BSL Learning Support Assistant 

Scale 7-11 £16,365.31 to £17,958 actual per annum 

37 hours per week 

TTO + 1 week 

Fixed term initially until 31st August 2020 

11-18 Mixed Comprehensive 1550 on roll. 

Required for September 2019, the Trustees of Stephenson Multi Academy Trust are looking to appoint a flexible, conscientious and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our successful Learning Support team specifically to support a deaf student. This will include the provision of specialist support in a specific area of the curriculum and supervision for sessions outside the main teaching area as required.

It is an essential requirement to hold a British Sign Language (BSL) Level 3 or above qualification.

This post is on a one year fixed term contract subject to continued specific pupil funding and retention of student.

The successful candidate must have the highest expectations and commitment to ensuring the very best outcomes for students. A good knowledge of the curriculum and experience of working in a school environment is required. The ability to demonstrate a strong work ethic, be a team player, have good communication skills and the ability to prioritise their workload is also essential.
