Our Client is an award winning independently owned Chartered 'Top 100' firm who are truly different in the way they do things. They are now seeking an additional Paraplanner to join the team who can be highly experienced or perhaps less so. The ability to fit into the culture and ethos of the firm is more important. Ideally, you will be Diploma Qualified Level 4 or well on your way towards it.
The role will be mainly focused on Taxation and Pension planning. Where these roles differ from other Paraplanning positions is in the amount of client contact you will have. Whilst there will still be report writing you will be responsible for determining the right advice and plan with the client while working closely with the adviser.
You won't just be an order taker but much more like an adviser. In fact, if you want to make the transition our client will be delighted to encourage and assist you.
CPD and career development are at the heart of the culture and full training and qualification support is provided and paid for. Even paid study leave! They offer holistic financial planning advice to affluent individuals and their families.
The planning work is interesting, varied and will also challenge you
They have a passive approach to investment research spending time on structuring good plans, rather than doing lots of fund research. Cash flow forecasting as standard. They are entirely fee-based.
They support and encourage flexible and home-based working. Although they have smart offices with plenty of parking.
Key Requirements:
Diploma qualified or very close to be so.
At least 3 years experience working as a paraplanner
Experience of holistic, lifetime financial planning
Confident, assertive and excellent communicator who is happy to engage with clients
The Package:
The highly competitive package is negotiable depending on experience but will include pension, paid study leave, time off at Xmas in addition to the normal holiday, with flexible and home-based working encouraged
