Training Manager
06 CARE ARE LOOKING FOR A CONFIDENT AND ENTHUSIASTIC TRAINING MANAGER TO JOIN OUR TEAM!
We are a domiciliary care company providing support to people of all ages, and with varying conditions in their own homes.
Established in 2012, 06 Care provides care to people in the Bradford, Keighley and Wharfedale areas with our main office based centrally in Keighley.
The successful candidate will have use of exceptional training facilities at our main office, including their own office and training room.
Main hours of work 8.30am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday (some flexibility required outside of these hours when supporting new starters / undertaking competency checks etc)
Six weeks annual leave entitlement inclusive of bank holidays.
Use of a car for work purposes is essential (mileage allowance provided)
Experience of previous training roles, and working in the health and social care sector is a requirement for all applicants.

Prime objectives of the post and purpose of the role
- Primary responsibility for the learning and professional development of 06 Care's workforce.
- Ensure staff have the right skills, knowledge and understanding to safely meet the needs of the business.
- Fully equip staff with the knowledge, practical skills and motivation to undertake work related tasks in line with their position within the company.
- Deliver and / or source training for all 06 Care staff in line with CQC regulations, company policies and service user requirements.
- Assist and undertake the ongoing and long-term improvement of employee skills, enabling them to fulfil their potential.
- Assess the skills and knowledge of staff and determine what training is needed to maintain, improve and develop and enhance their learning.
- Maintain internal systems and processes such as the company training matrix.
- Compassionate, competent staff are key to providing safe, high quality home care services that meet service user's needs and preferences, so that they lead dignified, fulfilling lives as far as they are able.
- Plan, prepare and deliver induction and Care Certificate training to all new staff including assessing and signing off Care Certificate - promoting anti-discriminatory practice and company values.
- Coordinate and undertake the first supervision for all new starters.
- Develop and implement training programmes and resources as required, drawing on a range of methods to support staff for example classroom based training, on site training, e-learning, external training etc. to keep skills and knowledge up to date.
- Produce/update and maintain training materials, manuals and required documentation.
- Produce certificates to evidence attendance on training courses.
- To use audio-visual aids i.e. televisions, laptops etc.
- Work within budgets and liaise with Directors regarding any costings.
- Prepare feedback and reports on training and accomplishments.
- Coordinate and liaise with Managers, Supervisors and Directors.
- Have excellent spoken and written communication skills including computer literacy
- Ensure attention to detail and accuracy

- Have good planning, presentation, time and project management skills

- Ensure that the provisions of the Data Protection Act / GDPR are met at all times
