We're looking for an outstanding creative thinker to join our in-house team as a Copywriter. You'll be an ideas person, with the portfolio to prove it. We want to see memorable work that shows flair and stands out from the crowd. Naturally, you'll be an excellent writer and proofreader, who can turn their hand to short copy or long copy, across print, digital and out of home.

You'll be joining Shelter's friendly and dedicated Creative Team. We tackle a variety of briefs from across the organisation and deliver high-quality conceptual creative ideas and effective communication for a wide range of audiences. You'll need to be flexible, as one day you may be working on an experiential event, the next brainstorming ideas for a social media campaign or editing our annual report.

It's an exciting time to join Shelter, as we're currently in the process of rebranding. It'll be your responsibility to help shape our tone of voice and to champion it across the charity.

About Shelter

Shelter's work makes a real, tangible difference. It gets spoken about in the House of Commons. It makes for headline news. It changes laws. And most importantly, it improves the lives of people struggling with homelessness or living in unfit conditions.

A home is the most fundamental of needs. It's a basic right - as essential as education or healthcare. But for millions of people in the UK, this right is either denied or under threat because they're homeless or living in the constant fear of eviction.

This is a job you'll always be proud of. If you want to join a passionate, dedicated, talented team and have the skillset to match, then we want to hear from you.

Shelter offers fantastic benefits including 30 days of annual leave, enhanced family friendly policies, childcare vouchers, pension and interest free travel loans. Our employees also have access to a tenancy deposit loan, cycle to work scheme and an employee assistance programme.

Safeguarding is everyone's business. Shelter is committed to protecting the health, wellbeing and human rights of those we support, and enabling them to live free from harm, abuse and neglect. All our staff will be expected to observe professional standards of behaviour and conduct their work in line with our Safeguarding Policies.

At Shelter, we welcome and encourage applications from everyone regardless of age, disability, gender, ethnicity, religion and sexual orientation. We are facing diverse problems, so need diverse people to tackle them.

Shelter does not accept unsolicited CVs from external recruitment agencies nor accept the fees associated with them.

To give yourself the best chance, please include a link to your portfolio in your application.
