Foot Mobile Electrical Engineer

Central London

Our Technical Services Division is working in partnership with one of the UK's top 20 Facilities Management Contractors as we seek to source and appoint an experienced Electrical Engineer Maintenance with both 17th Edition / Electrical Skills or an Electrical NVQ. This is to cover multiple sites of Central London.

The Client:

Established since the early 1960's, our client has become one of the leading players in Built Environment Construction and Maintenance, with over 2000 staff nationwide and a glowing reputation across all sectors - but notably in the Health care, Finance and Education PFI Environment.

They turnover in excess of GBP(phone number removed) per annum and continue to build a first class reputation for construction and operational support services.

The Role:

The Electrical Engineer will provide planned preventative and some reactive maintenance services;

You will:

1. Ensure that the client's working environment is maintained to the highest possible standard

2. Work around the client's business needs to ensure that Planned Maintenance activities to not disrupt the operations of the business

3. Put customer satisfaction at the core of the maintenance work

4. Liaise closely with management and operational personnel of the client to ensure that our business relationship is seen as friendly and professional, putting the client's needs first.

5. Engage in general building maintenance to compliment the electrical works - this could be anything from moving floor panels to replacing floor tiles

6. Complete tasks within SLA requirements, with work orders opened and closed in real time.

7. Timely completion of reactive and planned works carried out to agreed standards, achievement of first fix and maximising equipment uptime.

8. Effectively diagnose and identify faults and failures with equipment and systems and provide effective solutions and escalate where necessary.

9. Provide regular updates to help desk and planning team on task status.

10. Provide technical support as required, e.g. advice regarding major operational issues.

11. Carry out work in accordance with all health and safety requirements and adhere to best safety working practices at all times.

12. Ensure parts and materials are ordered in a timely manner through company processes. Fit parts or components as prescribed by company procedures.

13. Deal with and make safe all health & safety related works following processes laid down by organisation's Health and Safety Policy.

Knowledge and Skills

1. 17th or 18th Edition

2. UK Driving License

3. NVQ Level 2/3 or extensive career experience in a similar role

Experience

1. Significant building maintenance experience.

The post holder must be able to work flexibly, as determined by business requirements, including providing on-call cover.

The Package:

Salary up to GBP34,000 plus travel expenses and exceptional overtime pay
