Accountable to: Corporate Information Services Manager

Salary: £34,189 - £38,460 pa + Benefits (35 days annual leave, 12 bank holiday and concessionary days, contributory career average pension, flexi scheme, etc.)

Information Services (IS) is responsible for developing and supporting ICT to meet academic and administrative users' requirements. We now seek to appoint a new member of staff to work in a challenging environment where technological change is rapid. This post is based within Corporate Information Services (CIS).

The successful applicant is expected to possess a degree, or HND or equivalent qualification with relevant experience in implementing corporate information systems. In-depth experience in application analysis, development and support using LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP) and/or MS.NET framework (ASP.NET, C#.NET and MVC).

Practical knowledge of CSS, HTML and HTTP, HTTPS and proxying is required.

As a member of a dynamic team you will be developing, maintaining and supporting various in-house and bought-in corporate applications which support the University academic and administrative operations.

In particular, you will provide high quality, professional and responsive support for the university's in-house, open source and bought-in information systems.

You will need to work closely and effectively with relevant stakeholders at all levels to ensure users' application development and support requirements are met. You must be able to demonstrate excellent communication and analytical skills, and able to work flexibly as a member of a small team.
