Are you experienced in working with survivors of domestic violence?
Are you a Support/Refuge worker? and seeking work?
My Client is a large organisation and is growing. They are Now looking for a new member of staff to work with them in their Kingston office, on a Temp basis!
The independent domestic violence advocate will work closely with victims of domestic violence and other forms of violence and abuse, from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of domestic violence at the highest risk and their children.
The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors.
For this specific service we require the candidates to speak a South Asian Language between Urdu, Punjabi or Mirpuri.

Responsible to: Deputy service manager.
Working pattern: 9:00am - 5:30pm Monday - Friday.
Duration: Until End of October
Based: Kingston - KT
GBP15.62 - GBP17.75
Responsibilities:
1 To provide practical and emotional support to women, applying the principles of effective casework when supporting survivors of domestic violence and other forms of violence and abuse at the highest risk and their children and to advocate for survivors to ensure their needs are met
2 To establish the risks to and the needs of survivors of domestic violence and other forms of violence and abuse, identifying and prioritising those at the highest risk.
3 To develop and deliver individual support and risk management plans to address the risk of harm to survivors of domestic violence and other forms of violence and abuse and their children, working directly with all key agency partners to ensure that their plans are coordinated through the MARAC.
