Passionate about great places to live. GreenSquare Group develops a range of new homes – for rent, shared ownership, and sale – and provides housing management, care and support, and commercial property services.
We are currently seeking a Support Worker to join our team within Gloucestershire Domestic Abuse Support Service (GDASS) to operate the Triage process. You will need to have experience in working with people who are, or who have been, experiencing domestic abuse and have a clear understanding of coercive control and the impact of it on individuals and families.
You will offer a triage service to service users identified through the GDASS Helpdesk; this involves carrying out an assessment of needs and risk, and provide advice around support pathways. You will be expected to create safety and support plans with women and men experiencing domestic abuse. Experience in domestic abuse risk assessing is therefore essential.
You will also be expected to be able to carry a caseload, deliver group work, support the GDASS Helpdesk, or any other tasks, when required, to meet the needs of the service.
You will need to have relevant experience working with service users experiencing domestic abuse and should have an understanding of safeguarding principles. Experience in working with welfare, substance misuse, mental health, child protection and other complex issues would be advantageous, as would a working knowledge of community languages.
