Our client is a Further Education College offering a wide range of courses to over 5000 full time students and over 5650 part time students each year. The college currently works with over 50 high school partners, welcoming students from Bury and the surrounding areas.
Working with a team of Facilities Site Co-ordinators, you will act as the first point of contact for staff, students, external contractors and the general public. You’ll assist in promoting a safe, secure and pleasant working environment by undertaking key-holding, maintenance and porterage duties in an effective and courteous manner.
Securing the premises and its contents, you will check and sign off work of contractors and set up areas for open evenings, exams, interviews, staff meetings, classroom delivery and training events.
A variety of skills are required to undertake this post and where appropriate, information, instruction and training will be provided. It is paramount that the successful candidate adheres to both Health and Safety and Safeguarding legislation due to the environment you will be operating in.
They are looking to appoint an individual who has a minimum of 2 years’ industrial experience and can work on their own initiative, you must also hold a current driving licence and have the ability to attend College premises for emergency callouts beyond normal working hours. You must also be able to work at heights from ladders or scaffold towers and be able to handle chemicals with due regard to COSHH regulations.
