Connect Housing Association is a community benefit society providing over 3,000 homes across West Yorkshire for a variety of different types of households. We’re a progressive social business with a strong purpose to tackle inequality and create opportunities for fulfilled, healthy lives, starting with a good home in a neighbourly community.

We are currently seeking a Senior Manager - Business Assurance to join our team based in Dewsbury (with some working at our Head Office in Harehills, Leeds). The main purpose of this role is to ensure that the business has a strategic and cohesive oversight of business intelligence information from across the organisation in order to manage the quality, performance and costs of services, driving improvement.

Your main responsibilities will include analysing and disseminating accurate and timely information on key performance areas; leading on the production of the corporate change plan, producing annual performance reports and acting as the organisation’s 2nd line of defence to ensure that systems are in place for the effective management and monitoring of H&S, Data Protection (including GDPR) and Business Continuity. You’ll also be responsible for ensuring that the board is aware of changes and developments in regulation; developing and updating the risk management and mitigation framework to facilitate and embed a risk-aware culture across the association and supporting the Director of Finance and Resources in the management and oversight of the internal audit programme.

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level or equivalent and will have demonstrable experience of practical performance management. You’ll be skilled at operating and management level in business assurance, risk management and / or compliance within a complex and regulated business. You’ll be skilled at summarising a wide range of complex data for a range of audiences and you’ll have excellent communication skills. It is essential that you are a keen problem solver who can analyse and interpret complex information and you’ll be a strong team player.

We can offer this role on either a full time or part time basis (minimum 30 hours per week).

We are an equal opportunities employer. We are committed to flexible working and are accredited by Disability First and Time to Change.
