Crawley Green & Wenlock Pre-School are a charitable organisation based on the site of Wenlock Junior School with an established team of 8 practitioners working a combination of hours. We also operate a breakfast and afterschool club which is attended by pupils from the adjoining school.

About the job:-

We have a volunteer committee who help fundraise and support the manager. We are currently looking to recruit an Early Years Practitioner to start the beginning of September 2019. The post is currently being advertised on a fixed term basis, however, for the right candidate will be made permanent at the end of the contract.

You will be expected to assist in planning for children’s daily activities, plan next steps and carry out regular assessments. Work as part of a team to implement policies and procedures as well as assisting with general day to day duties.
You must be able to converse with ease with members of the public and provide effective help or advice in accurate and fluent spoken English. The hours will be 8.45am-3.15pm Monday – Friday with 30 minutes for lunch, Term time only. Salary will be determined on qualification and experience. 

About you:-

You'll hold an NVQ level 2 or 3 in childcare, learning and development or relevant equivalent and will preferably hold a valid first aid certificate and level 1 LSCB safeguarding. (Please note, health and social care is not a full and relevant qualification for this post). You must have good knowledge of the Eyfs as you will be a key person with up to 12 children. You must be able to use your initiative, work as part of a team and be adaptable to change as no two days are the same!
