Process Improvement Engineer

Serving the automotive industry, our client is a global market-leading manufacturing company dedicated to automation. They are now seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to join their team.

You’ll have the chance to make your mark and build rapport as you play a vital role in enhancing our client’s manufacturing processes. 

As the Process Improvement Engineer, you will co-ordinate the introduction and implementation of new technologies and equipment to the manufacturing operation. 

Proving technical expertise to manufacturing process and technology development activities, you will assist in the continuous improvement of a highly automated environment. 

Your role will also involve: 

- Leading in the area of process and equipment development 
- Providing design support and programming where necessary 
- Monitoring and evaluating safety practices and ensuring compliance with legislation 
- Ensuring completion of appropriate and relevant documentation within area(s) of responsibility 

Interested? To be considered, you will need: 

- At a minimum, three years’ experience with equipment automation, software, or related experience with a BEng in a mechanical, manufacturing or related engineering discipline 
- Experience in Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron and/or PLC programming and integration 
- Previous experience with servo controllers (Bosch, FESTO, AB and/or IAI), vision system integration, motion applications and HMI products 
- Experience in a regulated environment (ISO and/or TS) 
- 3D modelling experience (SolidWorks or AutoCAD Inventor) 

Although not essential, experience in using SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services, Java and database design would be beneficial to your application, as would experience with robotics (DENSO, ABB and/or EPSON). Knowledge of object oriented programming, C#, VB.NET, VB 6, PLC, C++ and Lab View programming would also be an advantage.
