Your new company
A successful, established retail business are seeking an Accountant for their business - working pattern 2-3 days a week - 6 hours a day. This is an owner managed company with a collaborative and positive working environment. They are seeking a skilled Accountant to support the day to day needs of the business whilst linking in to the Auditors at year end

Your new role

Your main role will include:

• Check emails and print off any invoices and deal with any queries
• Log onto the bank and print off the statements enter and then reconcile the bank accounts on sage for both companies
• Enter purchase invoices
• Raise any sales invoices/credit notes if there are delivery notes/credit note instructions in the relevant tray
• Raise any payments
• Check the Debtors and chase any outstanding amounts, bank any cheques at the post Office
• Do wages on Sage payroll and then enter the payments and post the journal to sage, send pension data and ensure payment to Nest authorised
• Make the payments to HMRC for PAYE
• Send the EC Sales List to HMRC
• Raise the intercompany recharges
• Do VAT returns
• Do quarterly accounts
• Check any VAT certificates from foreign suppliers to ensure VAT claimed

What you'll need to succeed
Good Communication skills, ideally Sage 50, a consistent and stable work history. Able to commit fully to 2- 3 days, ideally this will be your only role as occasionally flexibility will be needed.
