Materials Planner - Lincoln - Up to GBP35,000
Chase & Holland are proud to be working with a global market leading manufacturing business based in Lincoln who are currently recruiting a Materials Planner to join their team on a 12-month contract (may become permanent after this time).
They are looking for an experienced Supply Chain professional to review all processes and drive continuous improvement across the business.
Materials Planner Responsibilities:
* Release P/O to suppliers
* Release subcontracting PO
* Ensure that ERP action messages are managed in a timely manner
* Ensure that Master item data (such as suppliers, lead times, MOQ) are accurately maintained in ERP
* Categorise inventory items and take actions to meet inventory target
* Plan part coverage versus MPS requirements
* Categorise suppliers and define action plans to improve performance
* Create demand plan for suppliers and share with procurement department
* Perform weekly root cause analysis or raw material and components stock outs
* Identify and implement action plan to improve availability and optimize inventory
* Monitor and analyse supplier's performance and share with sourcing
Key Requirements and Preferences:
* Previous experience working within a Supply Chain Material Planning environment
* Experience of MRP
* Practice of continuous improvement, PDCA tools, root cause analysis
Hours of work - 7:30am - 3:45pm (Mon - Thur) 7:30am - 3:15pm (Fri) 37 hours per week. Some flex
