Consultant Ecologist - Southampton
An exciting opportunity has arisen on the South Coast for an enthusiastic Consultant Ecologist to join an established landscape and ecology consultancy. Our client delivers high-quality project solutions and services, providing support across every stage of development.
Successful candidates will be tasked with performing site and office-based duties including but not limited to:
* Undertaking ecological surveys and assessments (e.g. Phase 1 Habitat Surveys and Protected Species Surveys).
* Compiling desk-studies.
* Writing ecological reports and similar documents.
Ideal Person Specification
* Demonstrable track-record within ecological consultancy (at least 2 years).
* At least one protected species licence (Bat/Great Crested Newt preferred).
* Good technical field skills and knowledge of UK wildlife legislation.
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and experience writing ecological reports.
* CIEEM membership (or eligible).
* A full, clean UK driving licence.
