To provide customer focused, responsive, accurate and pragmatic HR advice and support to managers, employees and flexible employees in-line with company policies, internal procedures and legal requirements.
The Business
* Acts as an "ambassador" of the company, working in line with company values
* Understands the contracts and their unique operational requirements
* Works with the business to enable effective advisory service covering a range of employment and employee relations matters.
* Provides a positive customer experience through each advisory interaction throughout the employee lifecycle

* Promotes a culture of trust and positivity within the HR Operations Team
* Supports team and department meetings, adding items to the agenda and taking responsibility for actions
* Works with colleagues across the department and group to promote a joined up approach that adds value to the business
* Develops and maintains strong relationships within the business
* Shares information with colleagues and builds knowledge within the department through regular meetings, updates and briefings on legislative and process changes
* Trains and supports colleagues on advisory processes to increase their knowledge and promote consistency across the team

Operations
* Continuously assesses and where appropriate amends and develops new and existing Company policies, to ensure we manage employment risks whilst meeting the needs of the business
* Management of disciplinary, grievances, redundancy, flexible working, TUPE and settlement agreements in line with agreed guidelines and company policy
* Generation of disciplinary, grievance, TUPE, redundancy and flexible working templates and letters
* Management of tribunal cases in conjunction with the Legal team
* Management of the HR Advice mailbox in line with standard response time
* Delivers quarterly HR tool kit training as required by the business
* Makes appropriate decisions and uses judgement on work prioritisation ensuring expectations on service delivery can be met
* Supports and coaches managers in understanding the employee relations policies and practices, ensuring understanding of key activities and company standards
* Identifies process issues and opportunities for continuous improvement
* Adheres to agreed service level agreements with the business and Head of HR Operations
* Works on ad hoc projects and tasks when required to meet the demands of the business
Experience
* Solid employee relations background
* HR Advisory experience
* Patient and knowledgeable approach, able to instil confidence in others
* Solid understanding of employment legislation and best practice
* Works well under pressure
* Self-motivated, well organised and adaptable
* Bounces back from disappointments with renewed determination
* Proven decision making, examples of offering solutions
* Ability to work with different levels of employees
* Customer service in a fast paced environment
* Strong communication and influencing skills, articulated verbally and in writing
