ICT Service Desk Officer (1st Line Support)

The Together Housing Group is currently enjoying a period of growth and expansion, and as such we are looking to appoint a new 1st line ICT Service Desk Officer. The successful candidate will be providing 1st line support for the wider ICT team, across the group as required. The successful candidate will be based out of our office in Blackburn.

This role would be ideal for someone who has a head for problem solving, as well as managing the distribution of resources as effectively as possible.
You will be providing 1st level service desk support to all customers, and ensuring you log all requests into the ICT Service Desk database
You will be completing process based tasks for defined requests – such as setting up new ICT equipment, replacing damaged / broken components within PC setup, account management for those starting, leaving or moving within the group
You will also be undertaking administrative / clerical work required for the effective operation of the section including creating and managing preventative maintenance Service desk requests
In order to fulfil the role of ICT Service Desk Officer based out of Blackburn, Lancashire, the successful candidate will require the following key skills, knowledge & experiences:
- You must be computer literate, with an ability to use a wide range of ICT applications, and an ability to express technical information in an ‘easy to understand’ manner
- A strong working knowledge of the Microsoft office suite of applications
- Due to the role being 1st line support, you will require excellent communication skills as well as interpersonal skills
- You will need to have the ability to organise workloads, meet deadlines as well as being able to follow and apply, detailed technical procedures
