Inscape House School is one of our specialist schools in Cheadle. We meet the needs of children and young people aged five to 19 years with autism spectrum conditions and related social communication difficulties.
We are looking for key stage 2, 3, 4 and 5 class teachers to join our supportive teams.
As a class teacher…
You will join our passionate team as a qualified teacher, promoting outstanding progress and outcomes for students academically and socially.
With an understanding of students’ needs, relevant teaching strategies and core curriculum subject, you will plan and teach lessons with a clear understanding of your relevant subject area, promoting a love of learning and curiosity and developing students’ skills and knowledge.
Within your relevant subject area, you will contribute to the design of an engaging curriculum, know and understand assessment requirements and demonstrate an interest in the enhanced curriculum subjects.
You will have qualified teacher status (QTS) or qualified teacher learning and skills (QTLS) and experience of working with children with autism and associated conditions including sensory processing difficulties and mental health. Specialist knowledge of Secondary National Curriculum core subjects preferred.
You will be committed to the ethos of Inscape House School and the positive values of Together Trust. As an excellent communicator, you will be able to work well with students, parents and carers and collaboratively with colleagues within a staff team.
