Our client is lead partner in an innovative Worcestershire consortium. This consortium has been successful in securing funding from the European Social Fund and The National Lottery Community Fund to deliver the Building Better Opportunities (BBO) programme across the County.
The local BBO programme has been shaped by the Worcestershire Local Enterprise Partnership, and the National Lottery Community Fund is matching funds from the European Social Fund (ESF) 2014-2020 to invest in local projects tackling the root causes of poverty, promoting social inclusion and driving local jobs and growth. The project is currently in its third year and has recently received notification of a contract extension due to its success to date.
This success has come from the Worcestershire principal Housing Associations and a range of specialist Voluntary Sector Organisations working together to establish the Fusion consortium.  Fusion offers managing agents such as the European and UK Government a local solution for national programmes.

To take forward their success they are seeking to appoint an experienced, motivated, enthusiastic person to be the Building Better Opportunities Marketing and Communications Officer. You will work alongside our client and the wider BBO team to lead on delivering a successful marketing and communication strategy which maximises the recruitment of participants.  Working proactively with employers, delivery partners, training providers and other key partners you will ensure progression routes are available for all participants, some of who may face multiple barriers which have previously prevented them from working.
This post is a 24 month fixed term contract and will be funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and European Social Fund. This is a challenging post and will require you to be innovative. You will be part of a dedicated team that provides a high-quality service and an organisation that is committed to valuing and supporting its employees and the local community.
Employees must have satisfactorily completed 16 weeks of their probation period before being considered for other posts within the organisation.
