Do you have experience securing great partnerships between Trusts, major donors and charities?

Do you want to help child refugees access safe, legal routes to sanctuary?

Do you want to join a ground-breaking, determined and compassionate charity that is leading the fight for child refugees caught in limbo in Europe?

Safe Passage International grew out of the urgent need for child refugees to access their legal right to reach a place of safety. From the initial aim of helping children in Calais to reach the UK at the height of the refugee crisis in 2015, Safe Passage now has teams in Greece, France and the UK. We work to open and strengthen safe and legal routes to protection for refugee children, and then support their first steps to rebuilding their lives. Since we started work in 2015, we have directly helped 200 child refugees to safety and more than 1,800 children have travelled through the safe and legal routes we have helped open. Is this you? We hope so!

Safe Passage is looking for a Head of Fundraising to lead our vibrant fundraising team (2.5 FTE). This role is exciting and varied. You’ll enjoy meeting new people, pitching and writing applications, and building mutually beneficial partnerships with Trusts, Foundations and Major Donors.  You will provide line management responsibilities to our Digital Communications Manager, Development Manager, Development Office whilst building key relationships with UNHCR, Comic Relief, major donors etc.

As our Head of Fundraising and reporting to our CEO, you will lead our fundraising strategy, practically developing partnerships with funders and philanthropists, alongside supporting our fundraising team to fulfil their potential. We are looking for someone with experience, a can-do attitude, an ability to learn, adapt and innovate, and who always delivers work to a high standard. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must (formal proposals, in-person, online and social media). We are passionate about digital and therefore always looking to use existing and emerging digital tools to grow our income.

With proven experience with fundraising in the third sector, including experience at senior management level, you will ideally be educated to degree level and hold strong communication and written skills.

Safe Passage started life as a project of Citizens UK. In 2019 we formally de-merged to enable Safe Passage to expand its exciting cross-border legal work. This is a fantastic time for a dynamic Head of Fundraising to join our team!
